Our story

Mission EPIKAIZO International is an association registered in France under the 1901 law. It is engaged in humanitarian, social and educational actions in France and internationally.

The association has received official recognition of its public interest status, confirmed by the tax authorities through a tax ruling (see donations page).

The association works to restore human dignity, protect children and support vulnerable populations through concrete and sustainable actions.

Vision and foundation

EPIKAIZO was born from a vision carried by its founder, Samuele Ruben D'Angelo, a pastor and missionary committed to the field for more than eight years.

After theological training in Italy, he answered God's call and committed himself to working with people in Africa. This extended immersion shaped a profoundly human approach, respectful of cultures and focused on real impact.

The name EPIKAIZO originates from the Greek Episkiazō, which means "to be covered, protected, placed under the shadow of God".

This term became a powerful symbol during a mission to Niger, where the founder was nicknamed "Papa Epikaizo" in recognition of his protective and caring role with children and families.

Mission Epikaizo International

Samuele Ruben D'Angelo is the founding president of Mission EPIKAIZO International.

A pastor and missionary, he has been working in the field for over eight years serving the most vulnerable populations.

After theological training in Italy, he responded to a deep call to serve beyond borders and chose to make a long-term commitment to Africa from 2017.

His approach is not based on one-off interventions, but on a continuous presence, long-term support and direct involvement with local communities.

Over the years, Samuele Ruben D'Angelo has worked with:

  • children living in extreme poverty,

  • vulnerable families,

  • orphans and widows,

  • local officials and reception facilities.

His commitment is distinguished by a profoundly human vision, based on dignity, responsibility and the restoration of people. On the ground, he is recognized for his paternal heart and his closeness to the people, which earned him the nickname "Papa Epikaizo", in reference to the mission of protection and support that he embodies.

Through Mission EPIKAIZO International, Samuele Ruben D'Angelo has a clear vision:

to act with integrity, to serve with humility, and to build sustainable actions that truly transform lives.

Today, he continues to lead and develop the association with high standards, transparency and commitment, convinced that every life deserves to be protected, supported and revived.
